Monkey is wearing clothes!
Hey guys! Sorry I did not get a chance to post pics yesterday. I spent ALL day in the bed and it was GREAT! Tom did a good job of taking care of me! I was having some "issues" with pain and a percocet knocked me out! We did get to see monkey last night and he is still doing well in his isolette. He did have 3 bradys last night :( but the nurses assure me that this is normal for his gestational age and that he will probably have them until his is 35 - 37 weeks gestation. A brady is where he forgets to breathe and his heartrate and O2 levels drop. He pulled himself back up twice, but the nurse had to stimulate him once to get him to bring his levels up. On a happier note, Luke finally gets to wear clothes!! He is so cute! All of the preemie clothes just swallow him up, but at least to me he is actually starting to look like a "real" baby and not just a little helpless naked old man!! I could just eat him up!!! He gained about an ounce yesterday and they changed his formula to a hypoallergenic formuala. This was because he was having some spit up issues on the plain formula. Just like full term babies, we have to try a couple to figure out what will sit well with his stomach. As I said in my last post, they are not giving him my breast milk becaue of medication I'm on and that is very discouraging! It has also been very discouraging because he is now nine days old and I am STILL only pumping half an ounce total!! I am pumping every 3 hours and am hoping for a HUGE supply of milk so I can freeze it for when he comes home, but a 1/2 an ounce is not even worth freezing! I had a little breakdown this morning...definitely the baby blues! I just feel very helpless and feel that there is nothing that I have done right for little Luke! He should still be inside my belly and now I can't even get the milk to come in for him when he comes home!! But, I have to get off my pity party and be thankful that God has given me a blessing and that he is doing much better than we had all hoped for! I'm posting some pictures of him in his first little outfit! He is such a cutie pie!! Thanks for all the continuing prayers and phone calls! I love you all!

You are a GREAT mommy! The fact that he was 3 lbs 13 oz means you were taking great care of him in that tummy!!! He liked the PB & J sandwiches! I love the clothes!!! How adorable! I am just amazed at how great he is doing. God is so good!! We send our love!
Luke is looking great! Don't get discouraged about pumping. Keep trying! I love seeing your updates. Stay strong and as Meg said God is good! Have a great week. Take care of yourself and update the blog. Miss you!
I agree. You are a wonderful mommy! The baby blues are normal. I had major "bad mommy" moments, but you just have to remember it is the crazy hormones. Luke is adorable in his clothes!!!
He is so Precious.
